Phones

I remember during the hype of nokia fones, almost everyone have prepaid cell phones. I think the trend hasn't  changed much and I actually find it more convenient than having a phone line. It does appear that packages offered by phone companies are cheaper but since I don't do a lot of calls, I'm better with prepaid. It would also help my  cause..."budgeting for this year." :D

Gearing up for a 3rd Anniversary blowout!

I've been blogging since 2007 and thinking about it I never did had an anniversary blowout...lol. I would love to do that since I've joined other blogs' blowout and won from them too. The problem I'm sure to encounter would be shipping, I've experienced lots of times, those postcards I sent being lost...and those are just postcards...*sigh*. I guess then if ever I'd have to ship giveaways, they should be shipped via special forwarders. Also, I need to scout for the correct promotional items and appropriate prizes. Ok, let me do that and see what I come up in 7 months!

Home office

After  learning about how much we'd be our tax, hubby and I agreed on using one of our bedrooms as home office. The rent would help in reducing our tax next year. As home office, we need to remove the bed and cabinets and replce them with (new) office furnitures, a sofa for visitors perhaps and a coffee table. Photo at the left is my ideal kind of workplace, unfortunately, this would mismatch the motiff of our current design. When we transfer to this flat, hubby contemplated between modern or country style, the former won in bidding.

Which diet?

So after indulging myself to a piece of that red velvet cake, I went to my belly dancing class...hoping that the few calories I had would burn away. Are there really tested diets that work? I wonder too. I once stumble a page of diet reviews with user ratings, in the list were the popular methods used by celebrities such as the lemon cleanse to those I've never heard of like the Neolithic diet which suggests eating raw food only...like those times when the fire wasn't yet known to man. Well, I don't really know which one works well, but perhaps a combination of diet, workout and some more diet would really help.

TV

This is the little boy during Friday afternoons. Video games and TV are allowed on weekends so expect to see him  in front of the TV without winking. This is one reason why I've been scouting for tv stands or mounts. The TV in our bedroom, as you see is on a side table hubby used as a stand (poor TV, I know).  He has planned to mount it a little higher, but he's been busy lately so until he finds the time to buy a mount, I'll be browsing about. The little boy loves standing near the TV when I don't look so I worry about the radiation (freaky mom) he gets exposed to. This is why, the TV being higher is I think, a good idea.

Ironic

That's how I find my blog to be. I post recipes and stuff, sometimses of not so healthy food then I'd write about weight loss products, diet and belly dancing.  I don't promise that I will post only healthy recipes in the future because admit it or not, the most sinful food are the mose delicious at times. So, for countering all those calories that will accumulate, I'd post about dieting as well.

Begone, fat!

They say (I mean ads when I say we), that there are products to help one metabolize food fast, products that help suppress one's urge to eat and that there are those best fat burners for women in the market too. Vainly speaking, or if it's just plain laziness, workouts and eating healthy is still the best option. It may not show easily as one expects but it's safer and a surefire way to burn those fat.

Graduation

It's March, graduation month. I could still clearly remember 4 graduation rites I went to, along with other recognition ceremonies were mom and dad were so proud that I received a medal for being an honor student or for winning a school competition. At home, a table of food awaits us to celebrate with our family...ahhh how time flies, those were now memories...but really good ones. Back then graduation invitations were not a trend...a simple "hey come over to our house and let's have lunch" will do, the person invited will then ask, what's the ocassion? And upon hearing "it's my daughter's graduation" they'd bring along a gift for the graduate...Anyhoo, congratulations to all the graduates! May this be a stepping stone for a brighter future!

Best deals

Wherever country, state, town or street you are, I'm sure there's a shop that you hold close to your heart...not just for being literally close to your home but because they have cheap, useful and "cute" stuff. Coincidentally, they are either called Best Buy, The 99cents Store or The Thrift Shop. Of course, you'll find there stuff needed for the kitchen, bathroom like those little boxes,  potpourri and more---what I call kulimpat (from klumpert). Online, there are many deals that you can find as long as you know where to look. There are many that offers discount and free shipping. I'm talking about netbooks, celphones, monitors and other electronic gadgets...one that interests hubby more than I.

Insurance

Seeing those free life insurance quotes online made me think of our current life insurance policy. We pay 85Euros a month (started out as 45 in 2003) ...I remember having to change the method of payment 3 years ago because they would get the whole annual amount every January. Well, it's the same value yes, but monthy payment is a lot lighter than 540! I think we've been paying 7 years now of the binding 20 years contract...

Talk!

The little boy has become very talkative lately. At times he would go on and on full German, sometimes combined with tagalog. Those would normally be stories of what happened throughout the day or what he watched or just a random thought he wanted to share. He's turning 4 and I'm quite happy that he's learned which words are German, which are Tagalog and which are English. He keeps repeating words from the advertisements of those English tv series we're watching like "buy short term health insurance," "look, where on the guest list," and "it's the menu!"  The hubby and I just giggle when he does.

Spring clothes etc.

Spring is fast approaching. It's time to do a clean up! Hubby has started with the outside windows and the balcony that has accumulated all the wastes still from New Year's eve...It's also time to sort out our cabinets for spring clothes.

Though I still certainly have a lot of dresses and skirts stacked somewhere for spring use, I can't resist looking around for dresses with cute spring prints...online that is! Especially too that a lot of shops are doing spring cleaning in their inventory as well. Offers range from 20-40% off on Gucci shoes, Free People dresses, Balenciaga and Miu Miu bags and Ferragamo Men's shoes! However, if I don't stop myself, I'd surely end up with another stack of cabinet to clean next spring! :D

hop to a topic

It's one of those lazy days that I kept browsing and browsing the net as though there aren't other things I need to do. It's a hop to the other topic kind of browsing. From Michael Jackson to vitiligo to his kids, from propofol to other stuff he was taking to a list of controlled drugs. From sleeping pills to diet pills to phentermine reviews and risks of taking diet pills. It's an endless jump and the only time I would stop reading is when there's a need for the toilet.

Others

It's very rare that I read topics that has to do with something that society deems taboo. I get lots of spam mails about male stuff and most of them I completely ignore. I could be vague in writing this but you will know what I'm talking about when you see for yourself topics like does extenze really work?, are you ok with it? and others provoking question that would make you curious what it's all about.
