Grocery List

If you haven’t noticed rising prices at the supermarket lately, it could be you haven’t been paying close attention to your spending. That is why a grocery list is convenient for your regular trip to the market, separate food and non-food items. You know the basic rule, sticking to your list and keeping your budget to avoid excess buying.

I also find it helpful to list down meals that you would like to cook for the family. I have mine for a whole month, alternately I listed dishes for chicken, fish, beef, pasta and a bit of pork (we are not fond/fan of it).

So far, my trips to the grocery were not erroneous. I haven't come home from the grocery store with things like oversized vacuum bags,  industrial hand wheels, chocolate syrup for ice cream, sour cream and too much chocolates. ;)

Pot racks

Have you been playing Restaurant City (RC) or Cafe World (CW) at Facebook? I do! I love those two games! CW has mini-games within the game, one of them would be to collect materials and jars for a spice rack! I've successfully completed my rack and been using my spices for enhancements, so to say.

Anyway, I do not have such an elaborate spice rack or a sideboard for my spices in my kitchen. I only have them in a cupboard along with soy sauce and other Filipino flavors and components. I don't even have an enclume pot rack (see photo) which I think is a really neat way to organize pots. Well, I have mine in a big drawer and they look so clattered inside.

Enclume pot racks are a convenient way to organize pots and pans plus it adds elegance to your kitchen. Having something hanging up there gives the feel of 'kitchen expert' in it. Since enclume potracks are made of thick steel, it is recognized as the standard in cookware rack finishes. Enclume cookware racks are meant to last a lifetime and they're on sale!

Supplements

There are diet supplements review websites that provide useful information on what a pill is actually consisted of. There are those that gives lasting effects while some would only have a yoyo effect. If pne decides to try them it would be wise to know the pros and cons, the real deal so to say before spending hundreds or thousands...better yet, do it the right way, eat healthy, exercise and sleep well.

Online degree

I finally finished school, and it's finally time to work but if I do it would actually  be in our firm, hubby's a self-employed Graphic Artist and I would be the assistant...doing paperwork and accounting stuff.

Then during our deliberation, I said that I want to pursue my real love, photography or be an English-language trainer. I've seen how the interest for English learning boosted  among students and adults as well.  That or I would register myself as a professional photographer, for which I would need to do the Meisterprüfung. An exam to determine one's knowledge of photography. Since it has been a long time that I took photography classes, I might not remember the basics of film developing and printing as well. This is why I need to take another course, either  teacher training or photography... I however, do not want the hassle of everyday going to class, I just did that for 6 months and most of the classes are in the evening! I was advised to take a course at an accredited online university, either in teaching or photography.

With such universities offering masters and bachelors degree online, there’s no need to leave home tofurther one's knowledge. The flexibility of studying online is for me, with three kids in tow, I can only study on certain hours and do a little homework as well. Tuition considered, there's relatively a big difference.

Haiti donations

I am not a philanthropist like Richard Willich and I don't have that much to give...only my prayers are what I can offer. Thank God for all the organizations and individuals in their effort to help. As relief assistance continues in Haiti, they are those asking for money, not material goods, to keep those efforts going.  The money donated will be used to purchase immediate needs, such as water, food, shelter and medical supplies. They have set up phone lines, online donation pages and even texting for individuals to contribute to their relief efforts.

However, there are also organizations you can contact to donate food and clothing, the UN World Food Programme is one, please click here, to contact Food for the Poor call 1-800-487-1158, you can also contact Habitat for Humanity at 1-800-Habitat.
